How it compares with a typical agency
Same expertise, without the parts you pay for but don't benefit from.
| Typical agency | AssistPPC | |
|---|---|---|
| How you pay | Monthly retainer, often plus a % of ad spend | The hours the account takes, from £337 a month |
| Commitment | Minimum term and notice period | None. Stop or change any month |
| Who does the work | Often a junior, overseen by someone senior | The same senior specialist every time |
| Unused time | Lost at the end of the month | Rolls over to the next period |
| Your account | Sometimes built in the agency's account | Always yours: account, data and campaigns |
| Visibility | A monthly report | A portal showing hours used, work done and what's next |
Who management suits
A good fit if
- You'd rather hand it over than learn to run it yourself
- You've outgrown doing it in-house, but an agency retainer feels like overkill
- You've been burned by an agency that went quiet after month two
- You sell online and need Shopping, PMax and the feed handled properly
Probably not the right fit if
- You want to keep running it yourself with occasional guidance
- You want a big team, creative studio and weekly status meetings

Who you'll actually work with
The specialist you speak to is the one who runs your account
You deal with the same senior specialist every time, whether that's a one-hour health check or ten hours a month of management. That's the point of working this way: the experience, without paying for the layers around it.
- 15+ years in Google Ads, Merchant Center and analytics
- Ecommerce, lead generation and white-label work for other agencies
- Deep on the technical side: GA4, GTM, server-side tracking and feeds

Google Ads management questions
How many hours will my account need?
Most single accounts run well on 5 hours a month. Shopping-heavy accounts, several markets or a lot of new builds usually need 10. We'll suggest a level on the intro call and you can change it month to month.
Is there a minimum term or notice period?
No. There's no contract. Buy the hours for the month and stop whenever you like. Unused hours roll over.
Why not charge a percentage of ad spend like agencies do?
Because it rewards spending more, not spending well. You pay for the time the account actually takes, and the client portal shows exactly where it went.
Do I keep ownership of the account?
Yes, always. The Google Ads account, the data and the campaigns stay yours. We work inside your account with manager access that you can remove at any time.
Do you report on results?
Yes. A monthly summary of what changed, what it did and what's next, plus a review call if you want one. Reporting comes out of the same hours, so it stays proportionate.
Can you start with an audit?
Yes, and for accounts we haven't seen it's often the sensible first step. The audit is priced and delivered as its own job.
