Google Ads audits
A Google Ads audit that tells you what to fix first
An honest, independent look at your account from a senior specialist. Not a sales pitch for management, and not a hatchet job on your agency. Just what's working, what isn't, and what each fix is worth.

Health check or full audit?
Start with the health check if you want a quick, honest read. Go straight to the full audit if the account is large, complex, or you need something written to act on.
Health check
We spend an hour in your account before we speak, then walk you through the top issues on a 45-minute call, biggest first, with a view on what each is costing you.
- Best for smaller accounts, or "something feels off"
- Talked through on a 45-minute call
- Booked and paid for in one step
Full audit
Five hours across every campaign type, tracking and feeds, written up as a prioritised fix list. You can work through it yourself, give it to your agency or developer, or ask us to do it.
- Best for larger, ecommerce or multi-campaign accounts
- Written report plus a walkthrough call
- Useful before hiring an agency, or replacing one
What we check
The same areas every time, weighted towards whatever is costing you most.
Conversion tracking
Are the right actions counted once, with values? Is consent mode set up? Can bidding trust the data?
Account structure
Campaigns, ad groups and budgets split in a way that lets you control spend and read results.
Bidding and budgets
Strategy, targets and budget caps matched to the data each campaign actually has.
Search terms and keywords
Where money goes on irrelevant searches, match types, negatives and overlap.
Ads and assets
Relevance, testing, sitelinks, callouts, price and image assets, landing pages.
Performance Max
Asset groups, audience signals, brand cannibalisation, and what the channel report shows.
Shopping and the feed
Product titles, categories, disapprovals, custom labels and how products are grouped.
Audiences and targeting
Locations, schedules, devices, remarketing and customer lists.
Settings that leak spend
Search partners, display expansion, auto-applied recommendations and location intent.
If your agency is doing a good job, we'll say so.
An honest assessment, not a pitch
Most audits are written to win the account, so they find fault with everything. That's no use to you. Ours tells you what's genuinely wrong, what's fine, and what's worth fixing first.
The audit is a product in its own right. Plenty of people take the findings away and act on them without us.
A UK care provider with an agency already running their account asked us for an independent audit. They got a straight assessment, credit where it was due included, and have since asked us to take on management.
How it works
Book and pay
Choose a health check slot, or get in touch about a full audit.
Grant read access
We send simple instructions. Read-only is all we need.
We review first
The work happens before we speak, so the call is about answers, not questions.
Walk through it
Biggest issues first, what each is worth, and what to do next.
Who you'll actually work with
The audit is done by the person you talk to
You deal with the same senior specialist every time, whether that's a one-hour health check or ten hours a month of management. That's the point of working this way: the experience, without paying for the layers around it.
- 15+ years in Google Ads, Merchant Center and analytics
- Ecommerce, lead generation and white-label work for other agencies
- Deep on the technical side: GA4, GTM, server-side tracking and feeds

Google Ads audit questions
What's the difference between the health check and the full audit?
The £75 health check is one hour in your account followed by a 45-minute call: the biggest problems, in order, talked through. The £337 full audit is five hours across every campaign type, tracking and feed, written up as a prioritised fix list you can work through or hand to someone else.
What access do you need?
Read-only access to Google Ads is enough for the audit. If tracking or Shopping is in scope, read access to GA4, Google Tag Manager and Merchant Center helps. We never need ownership or billing access.
Will you tell me my agency is rubbish?
Only if it's true, and even then we'll be specific about what and why. The audit is an honest assessment, not a pitch. If your agency is doing a good job, we'll say so, and the findings are useful to them too.
Do I have to buy management afterwards?
No. The audit stands on its own and the findings are yours to keep. Some people fix things themselves, some hand the list to their agency, some ask us to do the work. All three are fine.
How long does it take?
Health checks are usually booked within a few working days. For a full audit we agree a delivery date before we start, once we've seen the size of the account.
Can you audit Performance Max and Shopping?
Yes. Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen, Display and YouTube, plus Merchant Center, the product feed and conversion tracking.
